The NONDUM Foundation promotes research on the links between humans and nature. With the motto “Alea NONDUM jacta est” (“the die is not yet cast”), this Foundation, under the aegis of the CNRS Foundation, reminds us that nothing is a foregone conclusion despite the current biodiversity crisis, and that the future of the relationship between humans and nature can still be reinvented. Convinced that the future of life is open, fragile, and full of possibilities, the NONDUM Foundation brings together scientists from all backgrounds to explore, understand, and protect biodiversity. Its mission is to transform knowledge into hope, and hope into action, for the futures we can still choose and build. The mission of the CNRS Foundation is to contribute to the development and promotion of the CNRS, and more generally of scientific and technological research in France and around the world. It focuses its efforts on funding fundamental exploratory research topics that are risky or high-stakes and require rapid assistance. |
